The Womb

The piece is an installation about violence against women.
The piece is connected to a previous installation ’Love me knot’ made out of hundred of poems written about love and violence. The same poems have now been manipulated and used to germinate seeds with the aim of producing ‘seeds of hope’, showing how growth and transformation can brake the vicious circle of violence.
Viewers can physically enter the space and become immersed in the experience, feeling overwhelmed by the narrative of pain and violence, while hearing women’s voices repeatedly reading and whispering the poems, telling their hidden stories.
